This is how we maintain the strength of our immune systems. It's not perfect, but it works really well for us!

We are not medical professionals, but we have spent the last several decades exploring natural health support for ourselves. We try it all on ourselves and only suggest the remedies that have worked for us. Here's what's been working, even now:

Sleep! If we don't sleep enough, we can feel the sniffles come on and the immune system crashing.

No gluten or dairy, and rarely sugar (we even go mostly grain-free). Stay squeaky clean on the inside and there's nothing for viruses or bacteria to feed on. For many, this includes eggs. Have you ever left egg on a plate for a while and then tried to clean it? Yup. Sticky. Be slick, inside. : )

This post explains how to ward off viruses all year long, including all versions of COVID and the many new ones coming up in the world. We take many of these supplements daily and always have extra at home for when we even feel a tickle in our throats. The trick is to be prepared ahead of time!

As soon as there is the slightest sniffle or a tight throat, try zinc shock therapy. It's what we do, and we really feel the negative effects when we don't:

The best zinc we have found is this liquid form: It's amazingly powerful. Kids get a half dose, maybe even less. And it doesn't taste awful! We take this same zinc TWICE DAILY.

Homemade elderberry syrup tastes great and is super easy to make. It can really help keep the immune system strong! (Remember to mix in the honey after the elderberries have cooled in order to maintain the medicinal value of the honey.)
